Event Description
The Cox's Creek Jr.'s meet at Colton's Steak House on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 11:30.
Everyone is welcome to come to their meetings.
The Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association (KEHA) is a volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for families & communities through leadership development, volunteer service, and education. KEHA was developed in cooperation with the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. Across KY, County Extension Agents for Family & Consumer Sciences work closely with KEHA members & clubs to provide educational programming & coordinate community activities.
What We Do
Community Events—Homemakers participate in various community events. It gives Extension Homemakers an opportunity to give back to the community and to showcase their many skills.
Monthly Education– An opportunity each month to explore a new topic. Keep your mind active.
Leadership– Improve your leadership skills. There are opportunities to serve at the club, county, area, and state level.
Friendships—Meet and make new friends who have interests similar to yours. Improve your mental health by forming bonds.
Day Trips—Clubs often take trips to restaurants, historical venues, state fair, concerts, and others interesting places.
Volunteer Projects—Homemakers gave over 21,000 hours in volunteer hours last year doing projects locally and nationally.
Scholarships—Each year, a scholarship is awarded to a local high school or college student for post-secondary education.
Craft Days—Several times a year, homemakers offer to share their unique crafting skills with others in the community by holding classes.
State Meeting—KEHA holds a meeting each year for all members across the state. Lots of opportunities exist to expand skills, participate in leadership opportunities and volunteer projects each year. It also presents a time to meet members from across the state.
